What firms noticed after their scans

Feedback from logistics, retail, clinic, and professional-services teams who used our assessments to order remediation work.

“The external scan caught an old remote-access portal we thought had been decommissioned after our office move. The report was blunt about urgency, which we needed. Scheduling the scan window took longer than we hoped because our MSP was slow to confirm IPs.”
Thandi Mokoena, Operations Director, Midlands Supply Co. — External Vulnerability Scan
“We used the internal assessment ahead of a POPIA-related questionnaire from a large retailer. Findings on unpatched file servers gave our IT contractor a clear punch list instead of vague worry.”
Johan van Wyk, Managing Member, East Rand Logistics — Internal Network Assessment
“The web application scan on our customer booking site highlighted session handling issues our developer had missed after a theme update. Remediation took a week; the optional retest confirmed the highs were closed.”
Priya Naidoo, Clinic Administrator, Grove Family Practice — Web Application Vulnerability Scan
“Clear scope letter, no drama during the scan, and a summary our board could read without a translator. I would have liked more screenshots in the appendix, but the technical detail was enough for our MSP.”
Lebo Dlamini, Finance Lead, Sisonke Retail Group — External Vulnerability Scan
“After we patched the edge firewall, the remediation retest gave us a one-page status we attached to our insurer’s follow-up. Straightforward and timed around our month-end freeze.”
Craig Petersen, IT Coordinator, Harbour Light Accounting — Remediation Retest

Extended note

East Rand Logistics — internal assessment ahead of a retailer questionnaire

East Rand Logistics needed evidence for a POPIA-related questionnaire from a major retail customer. Their MSP had patching under way but lacked a prioritised list tied to internal servers that handled order files.

We ran a credentialed internal assessment over a weekend window, focusing on file servers and the warehouse VLAN. The report highlighted unpatched Windows hosts and an exposed management interface on a backup appliance. The MSP used the severity order as their sprint backlog; a later retest confirmed the high findings were closed before the questionnaire deadline.
